Chemin du Roy

Official Website

The first road open to vehicles in Canada

Completed in 1737, the Chemin du Roy was the first road linking Québec City and Montréal and is considered the longest artery for traffic and communication developed in the north along the St. Lawrence River. The Chemin du Roy hugs the shoreline of this great waterway and is dotted with places and names that bear witness to over three centuries of history, reflecting its rich heritage.

A panoramic and historic road that extends 102 km from Maskinongé to Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pérade
