The Route des Rivières de la Mauricie is a tourist circuit offering a wealth of diverse experiences – cultural, recreational, touristic, historical and heritage-based – that are linked to the presence of rivers in a rich and luxuriant natural landscape.
Water has marked the Mauricie’s economic development, inspired the most captivating legends and provided much pleasure and enjoyment. As a result, visitors to the Mauricie are invited to discover its breathtaking landscapes, enjoy exciting activities and learn about the region’s history through its network of rivers.
The Route des Rivières allows visitors to discover the reasons for the Mauricie’s appeal: a vast wilderness and staggering variety of activities, enhanced by tales and legends. This tourist circuit reveals the amazing panorama along the majestic Saint-Maurice River on route 155.
The Route des Rivières is also the ideal opportunity to discover Québec’s true nature and bask in the warmth of the people encountered along the way.

In summer 2009, obtain a copy of the official tourist map of the Route des Rivières in all tourist reception bureaus in the Mauricie and watch for the tourist signs along your itinerary.
