Built in 1879 by the architect-entrepreneur Gédéon Leblanc, the church is the fourth to be used in the parish. The fine frescoes adorning the vaulted ceiling and the walls are the work of the painter François-Xavier-Édouard Meloche (Montréal 1855-1914).

Nine magnificent old pictures hang on the walls, painted by Noël-Nicolas Coypel (1714), Frère Luc (1687) and William Von Moll Berczy (1810). As well as the 19 beautiful stained glass windows, visitors can admire sculptures by François Normand (1813) and Louis-Philippe Hébert (1882). The church is classified as an historic monument.

Schedule: summer, Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Reservations recommended at other times.
